Taj Mahal, is the symbol of love which was built by the Mughal Emperor, Shah Jahan in the memory of his wife Mumtaz Mahal. It is located on the southern banks of river Yamuna. It is believed that the location of Taj Mahal also had strategic importance to Shah Jahan as he was able to see the monument from his palace at the Agra Fort.
